Hi, my name is Devon Westberg.

Welcome to my portfolio blog! I’m a Technical Writer living in the Seattle area. I have a post graduate diploma in Technical Writing from Algonquin College in Ontario, Canada. I was born and raised in Kitchener, Ontario and graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with an Honours BA in Environmental Studies. After living and working in the Kitchener-Waterloo region for more than 10 years, my husband & I relocated to Columbus, OH in June of 2014. In Columbus I had the opportunity to volunteer at the Society for Technical Communication (STC) Summit 2015.

As the National Account Manager for a loading dock sales and service company, I created projects to re-write departmental job descriptions, develop efficient order tracking tools and standardize work flow processes to initiate employee cross-training. I knew there must be a more efficient way to build these documents so my company would find them easy to read & use. I’ve always been a list maker, a reader, a writer, an organizer and a designer. Choosing to further my career as a technical communicator seemed like a natural path to showcase these skills in a professional environment.

In July of 2015 we moved to the Pacific Northwest. I’d love to connect with local Seattle, WA Technical Writers.
